When was Helpers set up?
Helpers started operations in 1997 making it one of the oldest maid service companies in the UAE. Today there are over 150 staff providing daily services to over 1500 active customers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Is the company properly licenced to provide such services?
Helpers, through its associated company Al Mosaedoon Employment Services, provides maids who are properly licenced to provide manpower services on a temporary hire basis, and is one of only a handful of companies who have been awarded this licence. So you can rest assured that you will not be infringing the laws of the land by hiring maids through us.
How frequently do I have to book a maid and for how long?
You can book a maid for whatever day(s) suit you. The normal booking is for 4 hours in the morning or afternoon, so you could book a maid for a one-off service, or for a weekly or monthly service, based entirely on your needs. For some localities, we can offer a 2 hour service and for this and any other special requirements, please call and check how we can help.
Do you only provide home cleaning services?
We provide babysitting and party help services 7 days a week and during public holidays at times requested by our customers.
How often would I require a maid?
The maids are trained to work properly and efficiently in their allotted time and will carry out the basic tasks of washing and ironing clothes, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting furniture etc, in an average homeduring one weekly shift. But please discuss your requirements with us prior to booking so that we can guide you accordingly.
Will the same maid always clean my home?
Every effort is made to provide regular customers with the same maid, and replacements are only sent to cover leave or illness.
Do I have to be home while the maid is working there?
That is entirely up to you, but most of our customers are happy for our maids to work at their homes when they are at work or away themselves.
What arrangements are made for maids to gain access to my home if I am not there?
We would need to keep a set of keys with us, and these are kept under lock and key by our security staff, and signed in and out to the maids every time they are needed.
Do I have to provide transport for the maids?
We have our own fleet of vehicles and our drivers drop off and pick up the maids for each shift as close as possible to the scheduled booking times, namely 8am – 12noon and 2pm – 6pm. For bookings outside of these hours for babysitting services or party help, we look to the customers to provide transport.
Who provides the cleaning materials?
Our customers provide all cleaning materials, as they can then choose products and equipment they are happy with.
How do I make payment?
For one off services, payment should be made at the end of the service in cash, and otherwise at the end of the last weekly service. Some customers prefer to make payments directly into our bank account or by cheque.
What if I want to cancel or amend a booking?
We require at least 24 hours notice to cancel a booking as we would not be able to re-book the maid at shorter notice. Amendments can be requested at any time but this will be subject to availability of maids for the requested date and time.
